One Point Recruitment are looking for a Food Quality and Safety Auditor to join our clients established technical team on a long term temporary basis. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that food safety, legality and quality is challenged across all aspects of product manufacture in all departments.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with regards working hours as you will be required to cover the following shifts 0600hrs – 1500hrs & 1300hrs to 2200hrs. There will be occasions when you will be required to start at 0430 hrs (rota basis).


·Comply with the responsibilities in the Company H&S policy, applicable to your role

·Reports Health & Safety issues immediately

·Always be alert and aware, maintaining a duty of care for yourself and others

·Drive food safety, legality and quality systems improvements (HACCP, traceability, supplier control)

·Communication, monitoring and validation of effective process standards

·Implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures pro-active auditing throughout the site

·Label verification. Audit production paperwork against specification and raise corrective action with Technical; and Production Managers should non-conformance arise to ensure we comply with food safety/HACCP requirements

·Driving quality, food safety and hygiene improvements via auditing i.e. GMP and Glass and Plastic audits

·Carry out Food Safety investigations and provide technical advice

·Carry out routine Auditor activities e.g. scale & probe calibration, positive release, hand swabbing

·Provide finished product samples for microbiological testing and submit into laboratory using online submission

·Audit CCP checks online and validate metal detection checks to comply with food safety/HACCP requirements

·Restrict any product by Quarantine that does not reach company quality attributes or safety specification

·Prepare and carry out daily taste panels and end of life sampling, logging all information as required, raising actions of non-conforming back to the relevant departments

·Support all aspects of the intake of raw materials

·Auditing of production paperwork


·Qualification in Food Safety, HACCP, Risk Assessment, Internal Audits

·Experience within the seafood industry or food manufacturing

·Working knowledge and experience of food safety and manufacturing environment

·IT literate (sound knowledge of Microsoft Office)

·Flexible attitude to work and working hours

·Team Player

·Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

·Pragmatic approach to problem solving in a timely fashion and excellent attention to detail

·Positive and personable attitude at all times

·Ownership and responsibility for achieving personal growth and self-development

·Ability to remain calm under pressure
