Co-ordinator (Part Time)
Peepul Centre, Leicester
£9.00 per hour

Royal Voluntary Service is an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for a Co-ordinator to join us in Leicester on a part time basis and support the running of our Supporting You at Home Service.

This is the perfect opportunity for a co-ordinator or administrator to join our well established charity and deliver a service that is making a positive impact on the local community.

As the Co-ordinator, you will assist with the delivery of the Supporting You at Home service to help older people in Leicester.

The Supporting You at Home Service is aimed at helping older people to live independently and providing the practical support needed to prevent them being admitted to hospital.

In this varied role, you will ensure the service is delivered consistently and to the highest standards through the effective supervision of volunteers. This will include recruiting and supporting volunteers and networking to promote the service.

Your role will also involve:

- Meeting and talking with clients to assess and review their needs
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of clients and volunteers
- Dealing with referrals, enquiries, complaints and requests appropriately and effectively
- Planning and representing Royal Voluntary Service at activities and events

To be considered you will need:

- Knowledge and experience of recording data, monitoring and evaluation processes and maintaining databases
- Proficiency in industry standard IT systems such as Microsoft Office, email and the internet
- The ability to provide appropriate support and supervision to staff and volunteers

As a Co-ordinator, you will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships and motivate others and an empathetic approach.

Although not essential, knowledge and experience of working with local services would be beneficial, as would experience of working with volunteers and/or volunteer-led support groups.

This is a part time role working 17.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The closing date for this role is the 19th May 2019 with interviews expected to be held on the 23rd May 2019.
